RCA2020

RCA2020’s visual identity and online platform were designed and developed in conjunction with fellow MA Visual Communication students, George Dutton and Sean Steed. The initial aim was to capture the diversity and creativity of the RCA 2020 cohort by undertaking cross-college student workshops and allowing for inclusion and participation in the design process. The unprecedented circumstances of COVID-19 made this impossible. As a team, we needed to rethink the original physical exhibition identity and transition to an online platform.

As a result four distinct type families were developed that incorporate different motion behaviours, each representing one of the four schools within the RCA – Architecture, Arts and Humanities, Communication and Design. The online platform itself maintains aspects of the visual identity while ensuring that the students’ work is the main focus.

Scope of work
